is a partnership between the Hoke County ʹע System and ʹע Community College. At the conclusion of the five-year plan of study, graduates will receive a high school diploma from Hoke County ʹעs and an Associate in Arts or Associate in science degree from ʹע Community College.
Admissions
Admission to SandHoke Early College High ʹע begins when Hoke County middle school students are in the eighth grade. Students and their parents will complete an application form with Hoke County ʹעs.
Plan of Study
SandHoke Early College High ʹע students begin working toward completion of the Associate in Arts degree in their sophomore year of high school, with the plan of completing the Associate in Arts degree at the end of their fifth, “super senior,” year. They will complete one-two college courses each semester during their sophomore and junior years at SandHoke Early College High ʹע, which is located at the ʹע Community College Hoke County Center in Raeford, NC. In their senior year they will transfer to the Pinehurst campus of ʹע Community College, where they will continue to take college courses during their senior and super senior years.
All academic courses will be taught at the Honors Level in small classes with support. The rigor of these classes will ensure students are ready for college-level coursework in the Junior and Senior years of high school. Our program will provide students the opportunity to complete career certifications, credentials, and/or an associate degree alongside the high school diploma. Students may attend for up to five years before graduating.
